Welcome to Bless This Mess!
Hi, I’m Melissa Griffiths, the creator of Bless This Mess. I’m a recipe developer, mom of five, and longtime believer that real connection happens around the dinner table — even when life (and the kitchen) gets messy.

Our Story
Bless This Mess was founded by Melissa Griffiths in 2009 as a way to document family life, favorite recipes, and homesteading adventures.
What began with a simple caramel dip recipe has grown into a trusted resource for families around the world who want to create connection through food.
Today, Bless This Mess serves millions of readers each year, providing dependable recipes, meal-planning help, and practical kitchen advice — always with a “we get you” attitude and plenty of room for real-life imperfection.
Melissa and her family recently left their home in Southern Utah to start a new adventure in Vermont. She’s excited to see maple tapping in person and expand her culinary knowledge in the North East. Her personal experiences in busy family life, homesteading, and healthful eating shape the heart of the Bless This Mess brand.

Our Values
- Nourish: Food should nourish both body and soul.
- Gather: Gathering people together is worth the effort — even if it’s imperfect.
- Embrace: Real life is messy, and that’s something to celebrate.
- Encourage: We’re here to cheer you on, not to judge or overwhelm.
- Trust: You can trust your instincts in the kitchen (and in life).
We believe in the paradox: cookies and veggies, quick dinners and slow traditions, messy days and beautiful memories.
